South Korea Visa Application Process & Requirements For Kenyan Citizens
Kenyan citizens are required to obtain a visa to visit South Korea, whether traveling for tourism or business purposes.
KEY REQUIREMENTS TO TRAVEL TO SOUTH KOREA FROM KENYA
South Korea Tourist & Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements:
FOR TOURIST VISITS
- A Kenyan passport valid for at least six months from the intended date of arrival in South Korea
- A duly completed and signed visa application form (downloaded e-form)
- Two recent passport-size 33 mm by 45 mm (3.5cm *4.5cm) colour photograph taken on a white background
- Copy of travel itinerary
- Employment confirmation letter
- Passport & national ID copy.
- Documentation showing applicant’s ties to home country
- Copy of round trip flight reservations
- Proof of accommodation for the duration of your stay
- Proof of sufficient financial means to cover your stay in South Korea
- Detailed travel itinerary for tourists
- Documentation showing ties to Kenya
- Passport should have at least 2 blank visa pages
- Travel consent letter for applicants under the age of 18
- Submit your application in person at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Kenya
FOR FAMILY/FRIENDS VISIT

Invitation Letter (Issued from the Republic of Korea)
A formal letter written by a host residing in South Korea, confirming the invitation of the applicant. The letter states the purpose of the visit, the intended duration of stay, and confirms that accommodation will be provided by the inviter throughout the visit. -
Guarantee Letter (Issued from the Republic of Korea)
An official declaration from the inviter confirming full responsibility for the invitee during their stay in South Korea. This includes responsibility for the invitee’s conduct, compliance with Korean laws, and a clear assurance that the invitee will return to their home country upon the expiration of the approved visa. -
Introduction Letter (Issued by the Employer)
A letter provided by the applicant’s employer confirming current employment status. The letter verifies the applicant’s position, duration of employment, approved leave period, and confirms that the applicant is expected to resume work after completing the authorized travel.
FOR BUSINESS VISITS
1. Documents proving the purpose of your business visit such as;

Business Invitation Letter. Issued by a company or organization in Korea, stating the purpose, duration, and details of your visit.

Copy of the Business Registration Certificate. A document showing that the inviting company in Korea is legally registered.

Certified Copy of the Corporate Register. An official record confirming the existence and details of the company inviting you.
- Employment Details. Your position or designation in the company, confirming your current employment status
- Provide a copy of the Certificate of Business Registration of your employer or company in Kenya
