Visa Exemptions

Travelers may enter Mexico without a visa for up to 180 days for tourism, business, or transit if they hold a valid multiple-entry visa from one of the following countries:

  • Canada

  • United States

  • Japan

  • United Kingdom

  • Any Schengen Area country

Important: Both the visa and passport must remain valid during the entire stay in Mexico.

Mexico Visa - Complete Document Requirements

  • Applicants must complete and sign the official Mexico visa application form with accurate information.

  • Applicants must provide their original passport and a copy of the bio-data page with at least two blank pages available.

  • Applicants must submit one recent passport-size color photo with a white background, no glasses, and correct size specifications.

  • Applicants who are not Kenyan citizens must provide the original and a copy of a document confirming their legal stay in Kenya.

  • Applicants must demonstrate financial capacity to support their stay in Mexico through bank statements or employment documents.

  • Applicants must provide certified personal bank statements for the last three months showing an average balance of approximately USD $4,500.

  • Applicants must provide proof of stable employment for at least one year with a monthly income of about USD $1,500 for the last three months.

  • Applicants who are students must provide a certificate of studies and proof of financial support of about USD $850 (approximately KES 110,000) per month for the last three months.

  • Applicants traveling with an invitation must provide an original signed invitation letter from the Mexican organization stating the purpose and duration of the visit.

  • Applicants must also provide the signatory’s ID, proof of the organization’s financial solvency, and documents showing relevant skills or experience.
