4. Prepare Supporting Documents . 

Gather all required documents, including your valid passport, DS-160 confirmation page, visa fee receipt, and supporting evidence for your travel purpose.

 

5. Attend the Interview at the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi .

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR U.S. VISA APPLICATION

Work Visa:

Requirements for Collecting US Visa Documents in Kenya:

To collect your US visa documents at BLS Kenya Nairobi, you must prove your identity using one of the following:

1. Personal Collection (Applicant):

    • National ID card

    • Driver’s License with photo

    • Birth Certificate- (Under 18 applicants)

2. Collection by Parent/Guardian (For Children):

    • Copy of the child’s birth certificate or adoption decree (showing parent’s legal name)

    • Parent’s identification document (passport, ID, or driver’s license)

3. Collection by Authorized Third Party:

    • Applicant-signed authorization letter with the third party’s full legal name

    • The authorization letter must be notarized by a Notary Public

    • Photocopy of the applicant’s identification document

    • The third party’s valid identification (must match the authorization letter)

  • All US visa documents must be collected within 30 days of availability, otherwise they will be returned to the US Consular Section.
