ITALY SCHENGEN VISA APPLICATION FROM KENYA

ITALY VISA APPLICATION PROCESS IN KENYA

Step 1: Identify your purpose of travel

    • Decide if you are travelling for tourism, business, study, or family visit. This determines the visa type you need.

Step 2: Decide the number of entries

    • Choose between single-entry, double-entry, or multiple-entry depending on your travel plans.

Step 3: Prepare your documents

    • Gather your passport, application form, photos, proof of funds, travel insurance, flight and hotel booking, and invitation letter (if required).

Step 4: Book your visa appointment

    • Applications are usually submitted in person. Book an appointment at VFS or the Italian Consulate. Some centers may also allow walk-ins.

Step 5: Complete the visa application form

    • You can fill it online via Italy’s e-application system (then print it) or download and complete the Schengen form manually. Ensure the form is filled accurately and avoid these common mistakes that might lead to a visa refusal.

Step 6: Pay the visa fee

    • Pay the required visa fee along with the VFS service charge. Both are non-refundable.

Step 7: Submit your application

    • Submit in person at least 15 days before your trip (but not earlier than 6 months). Biometric data (fingerprints) may be required, except for children under 12 or those who submitted within the last 59 months.

Step 8: Attend an interview (if requested)

    • Some applicants may be called for an interview to provide additional information or supporting documents.
