Ivory Coast eVisa Requirements & Application Process In Kenya

Kenyan citizens planning to travel to Ivory Coast must apply for a visa before departure. The application process is straightforward but requires proper documentation and planning.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED & APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Upon arrival at Abidjan Airport, the applicant must present the following:

  1. Original receipt for visa fee payment (approximately KES 12,000, including bank charges)

  2. Approved pre-enrollment document issued by the DST after online visa approval

  3. Passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry

  4. International Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate

Ivory Coast Visa Application Procedure

Step 1: Online Pre-Registration and Payment

The first step is to complete an online pre-registration form where the applicant provides:

  • Personal information

  • Travel details

  • Contact or reference information in Côte d’Ivoire

Required Documents for Online Application

Applicants must upload the following three documents:

  1. Passport biodata page

  2. Proof of return flight ticket reservation

  3. Invitation letter or accommodation certificate

Important: These three documents are mandatory. Failure to provide any of them will result in automatic rejection of the visa application.

Invitation Letter Requirements

The invitation letter must be:

  • Typed

  • Printed

  • Signed

  • Stamped

  • Legalized

A scanned copy must be uploaded during the application process.

Step 2: Application Review by Immigration

Within 48 working hours (Monday to Friday), the applicant will receive an email containing the response from the Directorate of Territorial Surveillance.

The response will either be:

  • Approval of the application (with a barcode document), or

  • Rejection of the application

The approved pre-enrollment document is valid for 3 months from the date of approval.

Step 3: Visa Issuance at the Airport

Travelers must board their flight with the approved pre-enrollment document.

Upon arrival at Félix-Houphouët-Boigny International Airport, applicants must proceed to the Airport Visa area to complete the final process.

At the airport:

  • Biometric fingerprints will be taken

  • A photograph will be captured

  • The visa will be printed and issued immediately

E-Visa enrollment booths operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Important Information

Biometric enrollment is mandatory for every visa application.

Fingerprinting is required for all applicants except children under 12 years old. However, minors must still be present during the enrollment process.
